The Beginning Of Aasha…
We are a group of friends who graduated together from Kilpauk Medical College, Chennai, India. We now live in the UK with our families. Recently we have been in touch regularly by exchange of emails as a group. In one such conversation, we were discussing about the people in India who do not have the same opportunities as we do.
In spite of the booming economy and growth rates, there is an unacceptable deficiency in basic facilities for healthcare and education in India. The urge to do something about it gave birth to our charity - Aasha. The flame of Aasha was ignited by a spark from each of our hearts!
We acknowledge the contribution of numerous organisations inside and outside India working for a similar cause at a grass root level and would like to join hands with them in achieving these common goals.
